Shri B. Venkata Rao
was born and brought up in Thagghalli, near Maddur, Mandya Dist., Karnataka State.

It was in Shri B. Venkata Rao’s thoughts to provide food and shelter to the destitute Mahratta Kshatriya Students enrolled in institutions in Bangalore. But sadly, before his idea could take a concrete shape, he passed away. But his worthy wife, the late
Smt. Tukku Bai
didn’t let his desire to die with him. She took the right steps to turn her late husband’s desire into reality.

Shri S. Sajjan Rao
into whose hands Smt Tukku Bai had placed her initial contribution, was relentless in his efforts
in furthering the good financial interests of the hostel.
